Add On Vacations

Most people who come across the Atlantic to do a week long cruise would prefer to continue their discovery of France.  Perhaps something on the cruise will spark their interest.  Perhaps there is somewhere in France that they have always wanted to see.  

If that is the case we may have the perfect add on just for you.

Nearly everyone will arrive before Saturday.  We highly recommend it.  It is a shame to be fighting jet lag during our cruise.  By arriving in Paris a few days early you will maximize your enjoyment on the cruise.  Likewise it is difficult to be able to leave Paris on Friday due to arrival times in Paris from the cruise.  We offer a night in Paris as well after the cruise.

PRE CRUISE

  1. Pre and Post Paris Hotel Package  ---  A choice of well located 3 * Superior Hotels with Buffet Breakfast (the buffet breakfast is so much better than the continental breakfast.  It makes you ready to face a day of tourism.  Basic program includes one night before and one night after the cruise.

  2. Pre Cruise Guided Tour  ---  Our pre cruise guided tour operates each Wed, Thur and Friday.  Our own licensed guide will take you on an intimate tour of Paris for 3 days.  It includes admissions, transportation, hotel, buffet breakfast, and dinner in an elegant right bank restaurant and of course the exclusive services of our guide.  Visits will be made to Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Impressionists Museum Dorsay, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Montmartre, and a half day at the beautiful Chateau of Versailles. Limited to 20 persons.

  3. Pre Cruise Self Guided Tour  ---  For those independent folks we offer 3 or more nights in the same centrally located hotels as the guided tour, a 3 day metro/bus pass, a two day hop on hop off L'Open Tour Bus, and a 3 day Museum Pass good at nearly 80 museums from the Louvre to Versailles. 

POST CRUISE PACKAGES

Actually these programs can be before or after the cruise or they can even stand alone.  Some of these are in close proximity of our cruise terminus.  But with the ultra high speed TGV trains throughout France, on can dis-embark any cruise and take any of these France packages.

  1. Chateau of the Loire 5 day / 4 night Free Wheeler Fly-Drive.  This package puts you directly into the middle of the Chateaux country in the Loire Valley.  The package includes 4 nights accommodations, an Avis car rental, 4 breakfasts, 4 gourmet country style dinners with wine, personalized suggestions of which chateaux to visit.  Pick up car in Paris or elsewhere.  Perfect for Anacoluthe, Esprit d'Europe and Litote.  Easy with train into Paris from other programs

  2. Champagne Gourmet Visit  ---  4 day / 3 night Free Wheeler Fly-Drive.  There is no place in the world where white sparkling wine tastes as it does when produced in Champagne.  It is so good that in France the name "Champagne" can only be put on white sparking wines produced in this region. We have put you in the heart of Champagne in a hotel with a renowned Gourmet restaurant.   Perfect for Anacoluthe, Esprit d'Europe and Litote.  Easy with train into Paris from other programs.

  3. Les Baux de Provence  ---  5 day / 4 night Free Wheeler Fly-Drive. There is no more perfect location to base your exploration of Provence than the beautiful famous village of Les Baux de Provence.  From here it is easy to drive to Arles, Avignon, Aix and all the other places that make Provence special in any language.  Perfect for Litote and Libellule.  Easy connection by TGV from other barges.

  4. Golf in Provenca  ---  The sunshine of Provence will make the golf addict sick in withdrawal.  We had to o something for you.  This is a 4 day / 3 night package at a 4* Golf resort.  You can golf half a day and explore Provence the other half.  Green Fees are extra.  Includes accommodations, breakfast daily and an Avis Rental Car. Perfect for Litote and Libellule.  Easy connection by TGV from other barges.

  5. French Riviera  ---  There is little to say about the French Riviera that has not already been said.  The only problem with it is that there are no canals or we would have a barge already there.  You really have to experience the Riviera to understand what all the shouting is about.  It is magnificant.  We have two free wheeler programs on the Riviera, one from a 4 Star property in Cannes and the other from a 3 * property in Nice.  Perfect for Litote and Libellule.  Easy connection by TGV from other barges.

  6. Burgundy  ---   One can never get enough of Burgundy.  Each day you will discover something new even if this is you 10 visit.  We have selected two classic burgundian hotels located in the heart of Beaune.  We combine them with an Avis rental car and you have the perfect bast to continue your exploration of Burgundy. Perfect for Litote and Libellule.  Easy connection by TGV from other barges.

  7. Alsace  ---  Those on the Lorraine will certainly want to continue there exploration of this region.  Strasbourg is very central to the region and will even allow exploration across the boarder into Germany.  This is perfect for passengers on the Lorraine. Easy connection by TGV from other barges.

  8. Paris Apartment Vacations  ---  The only way to begin to feel Parisian is to book a furnished apartment in Paris.  We have found a few well located, charming apartments in Paris for your pleasure.  They have short term lets and are extremely well located.

  9. London Apartment Vacations  ---   Chelsea is a section of central London that has enormous charm and character.  Central London is made up of several former villages.  Chelsea is the only one that retains it's village atmosphere.  We are not the only ones who think this way.  Anthony Hopkins, Eric Clapton, Micheal Caine, Mick Jaegar live there.  We provide Chunnel tickets for the high speed train to London and a London stay in a spacious apartment kept to a 3* standard.

We thought we had a program in Normandy in the Landing Beaches area.  In the final analysis the owners of the establishment we were trying to deal with could not give us a price that we thought reasonable. We are now searching for another place to stay.
