Guided Pre-Cruise Tour of Paris Each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Paris is a city that must be experienced first hand. It must be felt. It must be touched. This is difficult to do this from the seat of a tour bus. So we have designed a guided tour that will make our group “Parisian” for a few days and at the same time it will instruct them how to best way to get around this magnificent city on their own. Our small, intimate, guided tour will utilize the metro system and occasional bus. We will walk some each day in this city that begs to be walked. Guests will truly be a part of the Paris Scene. We have been doing this tour for several years and our clients love it. Included:
Wednesday--Our guided tour begins Wednesday at 3 p.m. when our guide meets the group in the hotel reception (20 persons maximum) and escorts them to a nearby metro station where the group will be instructed in the use of the Paris Metro, the most efficient public transport in the world. Then all will board a rubber tired metro train and travel a few stops to the Arc de Triomphe for a tour. Afterwards there will be a short walk on the most famous street in the universe, the Champs Elysées. Then it is off on the metro once again to the Louvre for a guided tour. After the Louvre the group will go to a lovely restaurant located high above the river Seine where all can enjoy an elegant meal (included, wine not included) while watching the nights activity on the river below. Afterwards your guide will take you by metro once again back to the hotel. Thursday—The day begins after your sumptuous buffet breakfast. At 9:15 the guide will take the group to the famous Musée D’Orsay to see it’s collection of Impressionists Art. Afterwards the group will head for the Eiffel Tower where all will visit the 2nd stage and have a quick lunch (not included). Following the Eiffel Tower the group will head for the famous artist center at Montmartre where they will see aspiring young artists honing their craft for everyone to see. Montmartre is a very special place, it is the very soul of the city. The guide will deposit the group back to the hotel. Evening free. Metro passes are good for unlimited riding. Friday—After the buffet breakfast the group heads out of Paris for the magnificent Chateau of Versailles, home to the Kings of France. They will have a guided tour of the Chateau which will include the magnificent Hall of Mirrors and the Kings quarters. Afterward they will return with the guide to Place St Michel on the Famous Left Bank of Paris. After lunch (not included) the guests will be taken on a guide walk through parts of the Latin Quarter and have a visit to Notre Dame before returning to the hotel in late afternoon. Evening is free.
